Right, today was one of those sessions. The good kind. Shoulders and back, which, if you know me, you know back day is basically my love language. Throw on the new bright pink leggings (yes, I ordered them in about ten colours, no I'm not sorry) and crack open a peach Monster, and honestly? Life is pretty good.
Here's what we got through today.
- Lat Pulldowns. 4 sets. Three sets of 12, fourth set to failure. The bar was not going to win.
- Seated Rows. Same deal. Four sets, three at 12, one to failure. Back was talking by this point.
- Lateral Raises. Four sets again. Shoulders were officially on fire and I was quietly very pleased about it.
- Upright Rows. Same format. By now the pink leggings were basically carrying me through.
Stretched it all out properly, because I'm not an animal, and then, because apparently I enjoy mild suffering, I rounded things off with ten minutes on the stair master. Did I enjoy it? No. Did I do it anyway? Absolutely. Did I mutter things under my breath the entire time? That's between me and the stair master.
